Techron, Is It for Real?

techron

I am a motorist and one thing that interests me, therefore, is motoring.  We have been seeing this TV commercial about Techron which claims to clean the engines that use it.  I went into some kind of quick browsing and this is what I got from Caltex.

Techron cleans the  fuel system restoring power and performance in petrol and light duty indirect injection diesel engines.  It is recommended in all four stroke petrol and light duty indirect injection diesel engine vehicles. If you experience driveability problems such as hard starting, rough running, sluggish acceleration, surging, irregular automatic transmission shifts, reduced fuel economy or increased exhaust emissions, you might as well try gas with Techron and see the difference.

It is particularly effective for cleaning fouled fuel injectors and carburetors. It removes deposits from inlet valves combustion chambers and pistons.  It does not harm vehicle fuel system components and protects against corrosion.  It is not recommended for more than five treatments in any one oil change period.

I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds like it makes sense.  Any comment guys?

In an earlier article, I made a rundown of the Mexicans that Manny Pacquiao massacred on the ring.  Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales have had a taste of Pacquiao’s vaunted boxing skills.  Mind you, they are not just boxers around the corner but elite champions at that.

Coming up next to face the Pacman is Oscar Larios, not a fly-by-night guy also because he once was a WBC superbantamweight champion.

Larios’ problem is that he is moving up in weight to face Pacquiao and normally, an increase in weight would diminish punching power and slow down reflexes.  This goes without saying that the change in environment will also have its toll on Larios who will fly halfway through the globe to go to the Philippine Islands.

If our Pacman does his usual best in training and if he learns to shun  the attraction of the local media limelight, Larios is going to join the list of Mexican victims of the hottest superfeatherweight in the world today.

More story on Larios here.
