PBB Teen Edition, My Early Bets
First showdown. Girls as expected. Olyn (teenstar wannabe from QC) and Mikki (ang orig na astig from Davao) had it really hot in their exchanges relating to the latter’s father. Olyn downgraded Mikki’s father and Mikki obviously didn’t like her housemate’s remark and she gave Olyn a lung-busting shout. The two, however, eventually reconciled.
Things like these make up the drama in this reality TV show. There will be more of this kind of encounters as each housemate opens up or is masked off.
This teen edition of PBB is turning out to be more crisis-laden than any of the other previous editions. The confusing makeup of of the teen housemates serve as the igniter of conflicts. Nothing is sure at this time as to how this edition will end but this early, hot bubbles are already disturbing the mixes of various teen personalities.
I would like, however, to make a sort of forecast as to who are the likely contenders for the Grand Winner. Here are my top three bets:
1) Jamilla. If the celebrity edition is an indication, Jamilla has a big, big chance. Keanna’s motherly image in the celeb format was her defining quality. It might just get duplicated by Jamilla, the teenage mom from Laguna.
2) Mikki. Her being astig might just hit it for most teen viewers. But she should show it in more challenging situations by which the majority of teeners can relate. Being astig is not commonly shown by teens although deep within they have the inkling to be.
3) Matt. He is still playing it breezily but I feel he has some surprises to make it to the end. He’s got some kind of a mysterious package that might turn heads toward him and his goal in Big Brother’s House.
This projection will definitely change as days are numbered and as lives, real lives, are completely shown.
