Things went into almost a stand still for the girls when Aldred’s replacement, Joaquin Mendoza (a.k.a. Chickboy of Parañaque), entered the Big Brother’s House. Why sure! He’s got the looks to magnetize girls.

Joaqui confessed to having had five official girlfriends and about 20 unofficial ones. That’s 25 flowers for just one attractive bee! Anyway, he hopes to blend well with the 11 originals still in the House.

Aldred, the Kilabot na Valedictorian of Pasay, voluntarily left the house because of difficulties of adjusting to the conditions in the challenging reality TV program. His departure brought some emotions up especially among the boys who have bonded to a great extent after a week of togetherness.

But his replacement promises to be adaptable to the mix of personalities in the House. Joaqui actually knew Fred who he said was a school mate back in Davao. I would predict that Joaqui’s presence will create a stir among the emerging love duos. Let’s see who among the girls will fall for the physically magnetic chickboy.

In the coming eviction night on Wednesday, who will be saying goodbye: Olyn, Mikki or Niña? In my previous forecast, I hit the mark on Olyn but I missed out on Mikki and Niña. But the nomination of Olyn proves her scuffle with Mikki was her own undoing. Mikki’s nomination may have had a string attached to the same incident the two had earlier. Niña’s nomination is probably no surprise as she also showed some toughy interferences.

Two of the nominees shall go and my palmistry points to Olyn and Mikki. What do you say?

nbaOf the eight series in the first round of the NBA playoffs, four are currently tied at 2-2 (Sacramento vs San Antonio, Washington vs Cleveland, Indiana vs New Jersey, and Chicago vs Miami).  The top-seeded Detroit Pistons lead their series against the Milwaukee Bucks at 2-1.  Only three series have a predictable scenario so far:  the Dallas Mavericks are 3-0 against the Memphiz Grizzlies, the Los Angeles Lakers are 3-1 against the Phoenix Suns, and the Los Angeles Clippers are 3-1 against the Denver Nuggets.

This is just the first round but things are getting really tight for  most of the teams.  The standings in the regular season also don’t seem to measure up to the playoffs.  In the Eastern Conference Playoffs, the defending champions Detroit Pistons just can’t shake off last qualifier Milwaukee, second seed Miami finds a tough customer in 7th seed Chicago, New Jersey (3rd seed) and Indiana (6th seed) are evenly matched, and even Cleveland’s LeBron James is having a hard time against the Washington Wizards.

In the Western Conference,  former champs San Antonio Spurs are challenged to the hilt by lowest ranked Sacramento,  the second-seeded Phoenix are close to saying good bye against the Lakers, and the LA Clippers are well on their way to knocking out the higher ranked Denver Nuggets.

Excitement is, therefore, mounting up this early in the NBA Playoffs and it will be tighter when the series shrink in the second round.
